How to maintain patent in Laos?

1. Laos Patent validity term and maintenance

 

A patent in Laos for invention becomes effective from the granting date to the end of 20 years commencing from the filing date (subject to annuity payment), without any extension.

A term for petty patent in Laos is 10 years counted from the filing date.

In order to maintain the validity of patent application/patent in Laos, the owner shall pay maintenance fees every year from the filing date.
